Digitising membership and revamping a beloved Bristol brand online.

The Coffee Club Bristol had been struggling to improve their online presence other than keeping their socials active. Their shop used a shared platform and wasn't converting and their membership was paper-based and stagnant meaning there was a missed opportunity online... in stepped Tiny Spark.

The Brief

Overview

As a small business, Lou and Dod plough every moment into running their business day-to-day, stock takes, ordering, dealing with customers… when it came to their online presence, it was last on the list and they knew they wanted it to work harder for them.

The need

They needed to replace the shared service they had – giving them more control and greater flexibility for future growth, without the additional cost, but it was a big ask without having the necessary plan of action to put it into place.

Our challenge

We stepped in to help lay out a plan of action, tweaking their brand and giving them the tools to provide a consistent way of communicating across all channels. Providing them with a new website with eCommerce, CRM integration and a way to manage memberships online suddenly became achievable.

The concept

This was a low-level entry to connecting the (digital) dots. We wanted to build the site on an easy to use platform that wouldn’t sting them with fees, setting them up for long-term success; providing an ecosystem that would deliver consistent results, rather than building something pretty and leaving them to it.

Joining the dots

Starting from scratch

Developing the brand, bringing the two coffee sites to life with photography and then providing content strategy for the year.

Building for success

By utilising our systemised frameworks, we were able to rapidly develop and produce Coffee Club’s website, giving them 24/7 access to easily update content, add new products, manage their eCommerce store or make changes whenever inspiration struck – no coding skills or developer help required.

Content creation

Members only

Our critical thinking around the membership allowed Coffee Club to retain their existing format, but integrated it seamlessly into the new website. They saw 0% downtime in their ongoing membership roles, and on launch saw 49% increase in membership orders.

Coffee Club Bristol

The shop

The Coffee Club eCommerce store was built on BigCommerce’s Catalyst framework giving us the freedom to create a highly custom, lightning-fast experience. By not choosing Shopify as the eCommerce platform, we saved Coffee Club a 24% saving on monthly costs!
