Our purpose
Businesses shouldn't have to choose between a digital solution that meets functional requirements and delights its users OR one that limits its impact on the environment by design. We remove the choice and deliver both through sustainable development.
Our mission
Our mission is to design and develop ‘stuff’ for digital and physical environments that have a wow-factor, but they must be human-centred in their design and produce meaningful results. Our work must leave a positive legacy to our people, our clients and the environment.
Digital done better
We are serious about making a difference, and seek to work with fellow B Corps and clients who value the importance of creative technology to bring a positive impact on customers, staff, businesses and the wider society.
Positive change can come from a tiny spark of an idea; pun intended. There are lots of reasons to collaborate with us, from our experienced team and expertise, to the purpose that drives us. We want to collaborate in a meaningful way to get your business where you strive to take it.
A force for good
It’s part of our culture to gravitate towards more meaningful ways of doing business:
Tiny Spark are part of the Istoria Group, who are champions of sustainability and are a Certified B Corporation®. Our sister business Ignition are the 2020 winners of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development and holder of several ISO standards. Our group aim is to be a carbon neutral business by 2030 and before this, improve our scores in our latest B Impact Report
Our values influence how we work, adapt and grow. Sustainability runs through everything we do. That’s because we know digital performance and climate action work in tandem. Case in point, faster loading webpages increase organic search visibility, and reduce carbon emissions… combine this with adhering to W3C accessibility guidelines and you’re on a positive digital pathway.
Making a difference
As part of our commitment to operating in an ethical, sustainable way, we are working with other organisations who strive to make a difference to people and planet.
Be a better business
We have joined The Better Business Act who aim to change UK law to ensure that every company here – whether big or small – puts balancing people, profit and planet at the heart of their purpose and the responsibility of their directors.
Charity of the year
Our chosen charity for 2024 is Blue Marine Foundation, who aim to restore the oceans to health by combating overfishing. Their mission is to see at least 30% of the world’s ocean under effective protection by 2030 and the other 70% managed in a responsible way.
Action for the planet
Via our Ecologi group membership, and through collective action, we have helped avoid methane emissions from landfill in Brazil, and reduced deforestation and degradation in Colombia.
Technology for good
As a founding member of Tech4Good South West, we are driving the intentional use of technology for good to drive positive outcomes for people and the planet.
